Renae Block

Renae Block received a BS in Music Education from West Chester University, PA in 1990 and has been a teacher and performer for over 32 years. In 2020 she received a full fellowship from the University of Delaware School of Music to pursue a master’s degree in flute performance, studying with Eileen Grycky, and anticipates a December 2022 graduation. Her previous teachers include Lois Herbine, Emily Newbold and Phyllis Lippincott Dalton. She has also been fortunate to participate in master classes with Julius Baker, Alexa Still, Gary Schocker, Mary Karen Clardy, Erica Peel, Brook Ferguson and Patricia Surmon, and has had additional flute coaching sessions with Ronna Ayscue, Cindy Anne Broz and Eve Friedman. Aside from being the owner/director of The Evesham Flute Studio in NJ, Renae is the current treasurer and immediate past-president of The Flute Society of Greater Philadelphia. 

Ms. Block taught music in the public school system for 12 years, and has been teaching private lessons and performing for over 36 years.  Many of Renae's recent recital performances can be found on her YouTube Channel - stop by and take a listen!
