NJMTA Spring Recital Winners!

The high honors and honors students will perform on winners' recitals in the Princeton area on May 1st.
Flute Society Young Artist Winner!
Congratulations to 8th grader Ricky B. for receiving a 1st place rating in the Junior Novice Division of the Flute Society's Annual Young Artist Competition! He will perform on the Society's Members Recital on May 15th in Philadelphia.
Students accepted to Honors Bands!
January 2010:
8th grader Lindsay S. and sister, 4th grader Rebecca, were both accepted to the All-Philadelphia Area Honors Concert Band.
7th grader Dominique C. was accepted to the All-South Jersey Junior High Band on flute. Newcomer to the studio, Leanne F. was accepted on piccolo.
7th grader Dominique C. and 8th grader Ali D. were accepted to the Olympic Conference Jr. High Honor band. Dominique placed as first chair flute!
12th grade student Nelson W. was accepted to the Olympic Conference HS Honor Band!
Congratulations go out to 4 other flutists who have attended EFS summer camps and workshops who also were accepted to the Olympic conference bands!
December 2009:
9th Grade student Alicia P. was accepted into the Western Burlington County Honor Band.
12th grade student Nelson W. was accepted into the All-South Jersey HS Symphonic Band.

The honors and high honors students performed on a winners' recital in Princeton on Mother's Day.
Students accepted to Honors Bands!
Congratulations to 6th grade student Dominique C. and 7th grade student Lindsay S. for being accepted into the 2009 All Philadelphia Area Honors Concert Band! They performed with this group on March 14th at Villanova University. This was the second year for both girls in this honor band!
Congratulations to 8th grader Alicia P. and HS junior Nelson W. for being accepted into the 2009 Olympic Conference Honor Bands! They performed on February 3rd. Alicia was also accepted into the Western Burlington County Honor Band and the All-South Jersey Middle School band!
Perform-a-thon Update
Thanks to the following students for participating in the NJMTA Children Helping Children Perform-a-thon on February 8th in Princeton:

The event raised several thousand dollars for the NJ Ronald McDonald House Charities!

Fourth grader Leanna D. received an Honors Rating at the NJMTA Spring Recital Auditions and will be performing on an honors recital on May 11th!

8th grade student Tess B. was nominated to the All Cherry Hill Honors Band, and will perform later in March! Student nominated for Honors Band!
Congratulations to 4th grade student Leanna D. for being nominated to the All South Jersey Elementary Honors Band. Concert performance to be held in May.
Student makes All-South Jersey Band!
Congratulations to seventh grade student Alicia P. for being accepted into the 2008 All-South Jersey Middle School band. She placed 5th overall out of more than 100 flutists!
Student accepted to Honors Band
Congratulations to 5th grade student Dominique C. for being accepted into the 2008 All Philadelphia Area Honors Concert Band! She will perform with this group in April at Villanova University.
